If you are familiar with the Final Fantasy series of video games, you probably know the term roleplay. If not, you've may have heard it elsewhere - Dungeon's and Dragons popularized today's standard, and it branched out from there. One form was play-by-mail - with the advent of the internet came play-by-email and the more freestyle play-by-post.
These are the ones I know of as involving TSW.
